Orthodontic treatment moves the teeth into a new position to correct crowding, spacing and bite problems. The clinic offers two routes: Invisalign clear aligners and fixed braces. The dental team includes a dentist with fellowship training in orthodontics.
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners, each made for your teeth. Treatment is planned digitally and provided by certified Invisalign providers, Dr. Sadia Siddique and Dr. Aisha Ahmed.
Fixed braces are bonded to the teeth and adjusted over the course of treatment, following an orthodontic assessment. Fixed braces are provided on a self-pay basis and are not available under insurance.
Fixed or removable retainers are provided afterwards to help hold the teeth in their new position.
Orthodontic treatment may suit people with crowded, spaced or crooked teeth, or with bite problems such as an open bite or a deep bite.
Which route suits you depends on the movement needed, your bite and how you would like to manage treatment day to day. Aligners are removable and are worn for most of the day. Braces stay in place throughout. The dentist will explain both at your assessment.
The first appointment is an orthodontic assessment. Your teeth, bite and jaw alignment are examined, and photographs, X-rays or a digital scan are taken where they are needed.
The dentist then sets out the options, how each would work for your teeth, the sequence of appointments and the risks. For Invisalign, the digital plan is shown to you before your aligners are ordered.
