Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume and refine contour. At Emerald Avenue Medical Clinic, treatment is carried out by a practitioner working from facial anatomy, after an assessment of the face as a whole.
Fillers are used for the cheeks, chin, jawline and temples, and for lip shape, definition and hydration. Placement is chosen to support facial balance and is kept conservative. Under-eye hollows are assessed individually, and the practitioner will advise whether filler or another approach suits.
The clinic uses hyaluronic acid fillers from the Neauvia, Skinfill and Stylage ranges, including Stylage M. The product is chosen at assessment to suit the area and your skin.
Treatment is often staged across more than one appointment, so that each step can be reviewed before the next. Where a concern would be better addressed another way, that is said plainly at consultation.
Fillers may suit adults who would like to restore lost volume, refine a contour or change lip shape, and who prefer a non-surgical route.
They are not suitable for everyone. The practitioner will ask about your health, medication and any previous treatment, and will decline a request that does not suit your face.
The first appointment is a consultation. The practitioner asks what has brought you in, examines your face at rest and in movement, and explains what each option involves, including its risks and what it will not address.
Where treatment is carried out on the same day, that is agreed with you first. Please come without make-up where you can, and tell the practitioner about any previous injectable or laser treatment. Individual results vary.
